Privacy
tatendaz.github.io is a static personal site. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads no advertising or tracking scripts. This page explains the little that does happen when you visit.
What this site collects
Nothing directly. There are no forms, no accounts, and no server-side code of mine. The pages are plain HTML, CSS and a few lines of JavaScript for the light/dark theme switch.
Hosting: GitHub Pages
The site is served by GitHub Pages. GitHub logs the IP address of every visitor to a Pages site for security purposes, whether or not the visitor is signed in to GitHub. That logging is controlled by GitHub, not by me; see GitHub's note on data collection for GitHub Pages and the GitHub General Privacy Statement.
Fonts: Google Fonts
The pages load their typefaces from Google Fonts. When your browser fetches them it sends a request to Google's servers, which includes your IP address and browser details. Google describes what it does with those requests in its Google Fonts privacy FAQ.
Theme preference
If you use the light/dark toggle, the choice is stored in your browser's localStorage under the key theme. It never leaves your device and is not sent anywhere. Clearing site data in your browser removes it.
If you email me, I receive your address and your message, and I use them only to reply to you and to keep a record of our conversation. I do not add you to mailing lists or share your details with anyone else.
